Development of Adult Skills in the Field of Geothermal Energy
The project
The aim of GEOTHERMAL project is to contribute to the smart, sustainable and inclusive growth priorities of the EU through green and competitive economy through the use of geothermal energy, which is a renewable energy source in agriculture, food, industry and animal husbandry.
The objectives are
- the adult education institutions will contribute to the European economy in the coming period;
- to contribute to the geothermal energy use in the areas of adult skills;
- to develop common, open and distance education plans, training content, tools;
- to equipment to prepare and to develop the skills of adult teachers.
The target group
The target group of GEOTHERMAL project are the instructors who will be involved in adult education on the use of geothermal energy and the low skilled adults that can be employed in these areas.
Increasing the use of geothermal energy includes innovative and interdisciplinary information transfer and interactive and high-quality outputs for the transformation of education into economic growth, employment and products.
Project Outputs
The Main Outputs of GEOTHERMAL project are:
- Course modules (2 training programs) for adult education centers in Europe;
- Two (2) E-learning modules for the use of geothermal energy applications for adults in Europe.
The outcomes of GEOTHERMAL project are:
- Preparation of training modules, e-books and digital materials needed in geothermal field in order to adapt to global economic changes within a system that values life-long learning and in line with EU practices;
- Development of the skills of adult education teachers;
- Ensuring that individuals have access to education in the use of geothermal energy resources;
- Development of basic skills for the participation of unskilled adults who will work in the geothermal field to the labor market
- Create awareness of the benefits of geothermal energy in adapting to global economic changes
- Establishing networks of cooperation between adult institutions, non-governmental organizations and regional institutions that support sustainable development in the European dimension;
- Strengthening the capacities of public and private institutions providing adult education
- During its 30-month duration, GEOTHERMAL project will directly and indirectly positively impact
